E1 - Sturdevant>Stardevant
Here is the Result and Family Tree page for E1, a descendent of Richard Sturdevant b. 1804 VT, and Mary Ann Cross. The father of Richard is not known, but most likely parents are John Sturdevant b.1773 CT and Eunice Palmer. If so, this introduces a new line with new haplogroup into the already complex Connecticut DE spellings.
E1 carries the StArDEvant variation of the surname. But this spelling variation occurred after 1900.
The DNA results were surprising. They show a completely different Haplogroup than previously known. The results initially were classified as R1a. SNP testing by E1, refined the classification to R1a1 through Positive Results down the R tree at M173, SRY10831.b, and M17. Negative Results at M87, M157, and M56 placed E1's results in the R1a1 Haplogroup. The 18 previous results in the project have been either R1b (T spellings and DI spelling) or I1a (DE spelling).
